I obtained a B.Sc.Eng. and M.Sc.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. During my studies, I completed an Erasmus exchange at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and an internship at the University Hospital of Lausanne. I returned to EPFL for my Ph.D., during which I used various Bayesian modeling techniques to study brain function and behavior. The main focus of my Ph.D. was the investigation of the neural correlates of visual crowding, which I investigated using dynamic causal modeling and population receptive field mapping.
During my postdoc at Freie Universität Berlin, I will investigate feedforward and feedback processing in human vision using layer fMRI. I am particularly interested in the role of receptive fields in recurrent processing, as well as the brain structure-function-behavior relationship and its link with intersubject variability.
