Since 2006, the Education Committee of the Department of Education and Psychology has awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award based on course evaluations conducted each semester.

This year, Nicole Voss, M.A., a research assistant in the Department of Early Childhood Education, received the 2026 Excellence in Teaching Award for the third consecutive year. This year, she was honored with two awards for her seminars "Shaping Early Childhood Education in Practice: Design Thinking as an Innovative Problem-Solving Approach" and "Biographical Self-Reflection: One's Own Educational History as a Foundation for Pedagogical Practice" (taught with Dr. Julius Grund).

Students praised her seminars enthusiastically, commenting that "Her seminars are simply the best... they encourage critical reflection and discussion." They also highlighted the consistently respectful and supportive atmosphere she creates, as well as her thoughtful and appreciative communication.

The entire team of the Department of Early Childhood Education warmly congratulates Nicole Voss on this outstanding achievement.
