From March 16 to 18, 2026, 13th Congress of the Society for Empirical Educational Research (GEBF) will take place at the Technical University of Munich. Prof. Dr. Katharina Kluczniok will participate as a discussant in the symposium “Quo vadis, Quality? Current Perspectives in Research on Early Childhood Education Quality.”
As part of the symposium, current research projects will be presented by:

Sven Uhle and Gisela Kammermeyer: Professionalization in vocational college training as a lever for process quality: Effects of part-time (in-service) vs. full-time training on the quality of stimulation.

Stefanie Horner and Gisela Kammermeyer: (Lack of) Associations between stimulation quality and children’s language comprehension and language production in early childhood education settings.

Anna Bilgeri, Wilfried Smidt, and Franziska Cohen: Quality in early childhood education and care centers: Relationships between target-child-related process quality, educators’ beliefs, and children’s language development.

Daniel Then, Julia Warmdt, and Sanna Pohlmann-Rother: Educational quality in kindergarten and primary school: Linking perspectives.
The contributions address key questions concerning pedagogical quality, professionalization in early childhood education, as well as children’s language development and the quality of linguistic stimulation. Following the presentations, the findings will be discussed and contextualized jointly.
