CCNB 10 years anniversary

Oct 02, 2019

On Wednesday, October 2, the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience Berlin (CCNB) invited on the occasion of its 10th anniversary to a celebration with lectures and video installation about the research on emotions, brainwaves and algorithms. Part of the event was a science slam by our researchers from the fields of Biological Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, Neurocomputation and Neuroimaging, Computational Cognitive Neuroscience and General and Neurocognitive Psychology. The lecture by Prof. Dr. Rainer Goebel from the University of Maastrich on the topic "High-resolution insights into the human brain - from basic research to therapeutic applications of functional imaging" was very exciting and received great applause. The "Brain-Art Exhibition", which was created in collaboration with NeuroBureau, showed outstanding works of art around the brain. With a meditation lamp called Lucia N ° 03 by Light Attendance GmbH the guests could experience a hypnagogic light experience. The high-tech instrument triggers electrical processes in the brain through light rhythms, which leads to a reorientation in the functional network of the neurons. This experience and measurable synchronization and harmonization of the brainwaves should thus create an access to creative, wholesome, spiritual experiences. Another highlight was the presentation of "brain board" by schlauluchs.de - a start-up company of Freie Universität Berlin. The breakfast board with optical illusion explains why the brain sometimes plays little pranks on us.
