Basics

The Master Intercultural Education is a one-year-program. The program imparts basic knowledge of the history of migration, of the national and multicultural structures of settlement in Europe, of language learning theories and different forms of second language acquisition and of racism and other forms of discrimination and the resulting pedagogical challenges.

The knowledge acquired during the first term is put into practice in a three-month project. The subsequent master thesis may either be orientated towards practical work/empiricism or on theoretical/hermeneutic issues. It may — as all other written assignments — be provided in either German or English.
