Mental Health of interpreters working with refugees

Background: Interpreters who work with refugees often report a high level of psychological stress in their work, for example because they interpret traumatic content, have no specific training and usually do not receive supervising guidance.

Aim of the project: Within the framework of this research focus, the mental stress of interpreters will be investigated in cooperation with Center Überleben (www.ueberleben.org) on the basis of a systematic literature review and an online survey among interpreters on mental stress as well as protection and risk factors.
