Welcome to our lab!

We are happy to welcome Yongjie Duan as a new PhD student in our lab, supported by a China Scholarship Council. He joined in October 2025, co-supervised by Prof. Radoslaw Martin Cichy and Prof. Diego Vidaurre Henche. His research focuses on neural representations during dynamic visual stimulation, comparing neural and stimulus dynamics using deep learning models.

Start of ERC project TRANSFORM

Today, we are starting the "TRANSFORM" project, funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant . We will investigate how the brain transforms photons into meaning. We will look at the developed visual system in adult humans, but also how the system develops from infancy into adulthood. To achive this, we will use large-scale neuroimaging in adults empowered with tools from machine learning and AI.
