Teaching
The team of the Language Lab is engaged in teaching and supervision within the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in psychology offered by the department.
Teaching in the Bachelor's program in Psychology
Module "Cognitive and Experimental Psychology" (Modul Allgemeine Psychologie)
The lectures in the modul Cognitive and Experimental Psychology module are taught by Prof. Radoslaw Cichy (first part) and Dr. Jana Lüdtke (second part). The lectures are supported by tutorial groups led by advanced students.
Module "Experimental Psychology: Advanced Methods and Theories" (Modul Grundlagen und Methoden der Allgemeinen Psychologie - Vertiefung)
The courses in this module are primarily offered during the summer semester. For the seminars A and B, a range of courses on changing topics is available each year. The coordination of these courses is overseen by Prof. Michael Niedeggen.
In addition, this module includes methodological exercises that provide further insights into experimental methods in psychology and neuroscience through practical demonstrations. This part of the module is coordinated by Dr. Jana Lüdtke.
Module "Topics in Neurocognitive and Affective Psychology" (Modul "Vertiefung in neurokognitiv-affektiven Grundlagen")
The courses in this module are primarily offered during the summer semester and address topics from cognitive-affective neuroscience. Courses are taught by members of the language lab as well as by colleagues from related fields. The coordination of this module is overseen by Dr. Jana Lüdtke.
Module "Reseacrh Project" (Modul "Empirisch-Experimentelles Praktikum")
The individual research projects offered within the Empirical-Experimental Internship module are primarily conducted during the winter semester. Instructors from various research areas are involved in teaching. The coordination of the projects is overseen by Dr. Jana Lüdtke.
Thesis (Abschlussarbeiten)
If you are looking for an interesting topic for your Bachelor's theses, then you are at the right place. We always offer the opportunity to work independently on a topic in the areas of reading, language and and emotion.
The topics are designed in such a way that they are closely linked to our research projects. Working on a topic always involves carrying out/evaluating experiments independently. All experiments can be extended to include the application of a neurocognitive method like EEG/EKP, pupillometry, eye tracking or haert rate.
Of course, we also support your own project proposals. Simply contact one of our employees!
