Language Development

The Language Development group investigate the development of receptive and expressive language skills from the first years of life through school, adolescence, and adulthood. Through empirical studies, we compare groups of
typically developing monolingual, bilingual, and multilingual children with groups of children and adolescents with developmental disorders, which have an impact on their language development. Our research aims to provide insights into the relationship between language and other cognitive abilities. Our aim is to develop new tools for the assessment of language difficulties and for supporting language development, particularly regarding everyday school life.
