“I have completed all the work and only have to register/write/submit my master’s thesis. Can I de-register now?”

Unlike almost all other universities in Germany, the answer here is:

YES!

If you have completed all other achievements apart from the final thesis, you can be exmatriculated. Current letters from student administration reminding you to provide feedback can also be ignored. These are automated reminder letters.

However, please check carefully in Campus Management whether you have completed all modules before de-matriculating.

Important:

You will always be exmatriculated officially at the end of the semester (Summer semester: September 30th; Winter semester: March 31st) (e.g. due to successful completion of your studies or lack of re-registration). However, you can deregister yourself at any time. Please apply for this directly to the student administration:
