News from Sep 26, 2024

The WERA TASK FORCE Global Research in Extended Education Conference 2024, themed "Bricolage: Research Methodologies and Perspectives in Extended Education," was held from 11–14 September 2024 by the National Outside School Hours Services Alliance (NOSHSA) and Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia.

In research, Bricolage is the construction of ideas achieved by using whatever is available (a range of methods and methodologies). It was intended, through the conference research presentations, that participants may gain new knowledge and understanding about research methodologies in extended education that can potentially be implemented regardless of the type of extended education setting or where it is based.

Prof. Dr. Marianne Schüpbach, professor at Freie Universität Berlin and chair of the Task Force draws an extremely positive summary of four days of intensive exchange with many very valuable contributions. She would like to thank all participating scientists for their contributions and especially the organizers and the hosting institutions for the successful implementation of the conference.
