Research Interests

  • Effectiveness research (all-day school, school integration/inclusion, grade retention), development in school achievement as well as socioemotional development of students

  • Extended education: development in school achievement and socioemotional development of primary school students, educational quality

  • Educational quality of all-day schools (teaching and extended education offerings)

  • Intervention studies in class and extended education offerings

  • Immigrant students: acculturation orientation and school success or well-being

  • Multiprofessional collaboration in school and teaching (e.g team teaching, in inclusive learning settings, in all-day schools)

  • (Collaboration of) school and parents/family

  • School transitions: grade retention, school entry

  • Methodological approach: quantitative and qualitative (longitudinal) studies
